To my 40somethings.: We are not millenials nor are we gen x..we are Xennials. When grunge bursted onto the scene with Pearl Jam, Nirvana and Soundgarden, we witnessed this. Smashing Pumpkins painted our lives. The weezer album set a soundtrack for us. We grew up hearing 'Everybody dance now!' during our school dances, and we danced the electric slide. Caboodles held our makeup and scrunchies. Our study hall period in the library consisted of reading interesting articles about 90s topics in Rolling stone magazine. We wore flannels and mohair, (or fake mohair), thigh high socks and doc martens. we had teddy bear backpacks.
