festival supreme comments and complaints

forgot to mention...that i saw a TIM HEIDECKER lookalike right before seeing craig robison and he gave himself a triple chin which is how i knew things were gonna work out! (i feel i could of just walked in at that point but moss was like, 'ohhhkay' and turned around like an agreeable hound to walk to the right entrance. i should of just did what i was going to do, which was...'oh can i just come in this way?' and just walked through. oh well

wow! first i just want to say, that i feel very graciously grateful for my experience. and lisa is right, she says she has friends who are going through much worse than i, (im not going to name examples.) ok...first of all. we are all our own person. we each go through our own indivual losses, and grievances. we all have been through tough times. ii do feel for others who are going through pain. but at the same time, do i have to jump around eggshells when it comes to express myself? yeah, maybe it comes off as in poor taste when i complain publicly how i am upset that i didnt get to the opening rob zombie fright night or whatever its called...in the meantime someone had to delete me (according to lisa) because she cant deal with it and her kid is so sick...but she doesnt express it on facebook.

i dont know!??! but yeah...back to festival supreme:

i realize how upset i was and how depressed i felt and annoyed because moss had his arms crossed and shaking his head because we missed zach g (apparently he was only on for 10 minutes anyways)...and we could of gotten scalper tickets at 20.00 a peice, we got them for free..and i had taken a pic with craig robinson. i just wish i could of asked him questions!??! i mean, hot tub time machin (which strangely, i am watching now...) had poison in it!!!

my fave magical scene is in this movie too ya know!! i LOVE it!

i could of told him about it! instead i was feeling on the verge of headachy madness because moss shrugged me off when i asked him about just getting the scalper tickets.

anyways....lets see...i am reading the comments, and then i think to myself, "wow...we really got to do and see what alot of heartfelt fans would of LOVED To of done!" one girl was literally shaking and crying when she got demetri martin to sign her poster. moss set that up for her too. she was so excited and happy! i took a pic with him but i was feeling sorry for myself!?? man, maybe i need a need a quick slap in

(WOW MY FAVE PART came on and seriously filled me with joy because i feel it is just a sign...its so hard to explain but...it just makes me feel good!)

cuz craig robinson...i get so glazed over from feeling a warbly headache that i forget to feel!! he talks so much....(im making a youtube video of him...who? oh...moss! yeah and sometimes he whispers and sounds like stew)

um...im just going to say that, i am very lucky to of made it backstage and into the VIP (even free tickets) while ppl are upset and felt like packed sardines. i felt like a packed sardine trying to see sarah silvermans set that i started to feel like i was going to hyperventilate, but then i had fun taking a picture at the booth...i'll post it here!

anyways............i just walked in, met some cool people! got to hang out! i didnt get to take pics with zach or conan, but thats ok!

ok so now im going to post some of the comments...

Festival Supreme, SUCK IT. Awful, self-indulgent comedians who mostly sang instead of putting any effort into actually giving the audience a comedy routine. Zach Galikinafis - on stage for 10 minutes?!? Really?! I want my $120 back as well as for the 5 other people I coerced into paying for a ticket. And, it was my f-ing birthday! FIND SOMEONE WHO REALLY KNOWS HOW TO PRODUCE AN EVENT (and make the talent do their job) IF YOU EVER ATTEMPT THIS SHOW AGAIN.

FESTIVAL SUPREME BUMMER. Totally unorganized and full of juggalos. Can I have my money back?

Festival Supreme? more like Festival Poorly Organized, Oversold, and Horrible Sound Bleed Ruining Mr. Show.

Still have a sour taste in my mouth from last night's festival. If you're going to do it, do it right. Do it for the fans first. We are the ones who spend the money, get trampled, and wait in ridiculously long lines. With that being said, I've been to plenty of comedy shows and music festivals and know what to expect. Sorry Eric Idle, there was no bright side to look on for this event.

Compared to Oddball Comedy & Curiosity Festival this was way more awesome. Got to see everyone I wanted to see, The Mighty Boosh set was unreasonably short (but unlike most people I saw them @ The Roxy) so i'll always have that memory & althought I totally disagree with everyone complaints I will agree on one this....too many people in a small space totally not cool. I implore y'all to sell enough ticket to accomadate the pier without crowding it like a can of sardines (no pun intended)....

but as I said overall this was an awesome show to cap my year of awesome shows/concerts & even more so as a huge fan of comedy.

THANK YOU.

Jack Black and Kyle Gass have given me some of the best laughs of my laugh. Too bad you greedy soulless fucking asslickers have also organized the single shittiest event I've ever been to. Fuck you Tenacious D. I regret stealing your 2 good albums.

I hate to complain about an event like this because the idea and spirit behind it was wonderful, the execution however was way off bordering on dangerous and negligent. The VIP tickets didn't get us the promised Better Viewing at 2 of the 3 areas, crowds were not managed, I was nearly trampled by crowds several times, lost my sunglasses when security shoved and squeezed us through a tiny hole in a fence getting us out of the stand up tent, a disabled women next to me was very scared about getting through. I don't blame The D, but whomever they hired to pull this off should be fired. Stuff is always gonna go wrong, and this is a hard event to pull off, I kept my spirits up and had a good time, but do feel I was ripped off on the VIP tix and safety was ignored, made worse by the event staff/organizers.

If anyone was bummed that they didnt make it to Festival Supreme ... dont be.

The venue was SOOOO extremely oversold, we had to leave a few times just to breathe. We didn't get to see Patton Oswalt, Sarah Silverman, Demitri Martin and few others because their stage was off to the side and filled up too fast they wouldn't let anyone else come near it, which led to a disaster of people trying to get in and being stuck in a sea of people (not moving) for 30 minutes. I swear to god, a riot almost broke out.

Zach Galifianakis, my love and next husband, was only allowed a 10 MINUTE set! Whats that about?!

Fred Armisen and Mr. Show were the only comedy sets I actually got to see with my naked eyes, everyone else I only got to see by watching them on screens, if I was lucky enough to see the screens, due to how poorly managed the event was. Why have screens if they're going to be the same level as the stage? Oi! I could hardly see anything the entire time.

Mr. Show, however, FANTASTIC! But there apparently was no sound guy at that stage because most of the set was hard to hear. Some mics were loud and some were super quiet... thankfully we were close enough to kind of make everything out.

We didnt have the strength to stay for Tenacious D because the 8+ hour event did not actually have ANY seating room and no chairs were allowed in, which meant we were exhausted at hour 6 from standing so long. We regret, however, that apparently The Lonely Island made a guest appearance we we weren't there to enjoy it.

I will also add in that I volunteered myself to be Ryan's DD but when he spent $23 on just two drinks, there was no chance he could have indulged any more without being annoyed by the prices of everything.

Tar and feather the organizers of this event. It was an absolute mess. At certain points it was dangerous: waiting in an hour long line in the street to get in. The bottle necking inside the venue to get to the stages. I've been to lots of festivals and problems come up, but Festival Supreme was incompetence displayed on many levels. The sound was horrible for Mr. Show. Besides their mic's being to low, the audio from Adam Sandlers set was bleeding into the tent and the video for it was playing on the monitors next to where Mr. Show was performing. Might have been a good idea to have the Mr. Show on those video monitors instead. We had friends fly in from Seattle just for this event. Huge disappointment for all of us. By the time Tenacious D hit the stage, we felt so beaten down we unanimously decided to leave. The only positive thing I can say about the event is that Triumph the Insult Comic Dog was very funny. Regardless of that you owe everyone a refund.

Poorly done all around. The best of intentions go out the window when charging people $100-$250/ticket. VIP tickets brought SLIGHTLY shorter lines at the bar, a short line to get in, and that was about it. Worth 2.5 times the price of the regular admission? Hardly.

CRAZY bottleneck to get to the stand up tent.

Someone's brilliant idea to put the Neil Hamburger tent smack in the middle of the bottleneck of the other tent, which had people pouring out of it from 4pm on.

The worst part is the festival's organizers haven't commented even a little bit on this. Disgusting.

((maybe i;ll post more comments))
